I was re-assured, I was now dealing with the true NORTON company. After calling them, I was told once again, the phone number I was given before was not in any way related to them. I was told there was nothing wrong with our IP ADDRESS. Next day, I called our Internet service provider. I told him I wanted to check out his credentials before proceeding. He asked for access to all the computers in the house (from the kids). He told me our IP address was compromised, and that there were other people illegally using it. After gaining access to my computer, he started bringing up files. Then, he asked me what kind of computer I had and the Internet access.

He then told me to go to and gave me a separate code which I entered. He asked for the Product Key which I gave to him. He gave his name as STEPHEN HOPES, ID # NOR121323. The person who answered said he was a NORTON TECHNICIAN. The FAKE SITE gave me a number to call *******741 to help me fix the problem.
